Sometimes Husbandguy Makes Me Angry!
What a jerk! It's not like I get a book I've been waiting for forever every weekend and read it straight through so he has to do some parenting. He's usually good about sharing the parenting on the weekends, even. Except when him helping out means that I get a little time for myself, apparently. He claims that he didn't mind that I spent the weekend (not even the whole weekend, by the way) reading. He claims he knows I had been waiting for that book. But what he said and the way he acted were totally opposite. Instead of saying, "Mommy's reading. I'll help you with that," he said, "Come on. I'll get you lunch (for example) because apparently Mommy is going to read," and he was cranky about it. And then later, when I had finished the book and asked him to help me get Lulu ready for her shower, he heaved a big sigh and tossed the remote down on the couch and looked all irritated that I'd asked him for help. Because obviously, since he had "helped" while I read my book, it was his turn to take time off. Yeah. Okay. Except if that's true, that means that I'll never get any more time off because that was book 7 and there won't be any more and if reading new Harry Potter is the only way I get time off from my "job," then I'm just out of luck, I guess.

Poor Mommy's Nintendo! I hear you, though. It's right up in line with being sick. We have similar issues except ours is kind of opposite. Husband is home 2-3 days/ week, so he thinks I should WANT to feed/bathe/change/etc. the baby the minute I walk in the door, instead of realizing that I want to pee.
But if it's the best job ever, I don't understand what the problem is.
The Grandpa: Imagine if you had to sleep where you worked, or in your case, since you do work at home, if you worked ALL through your house and didn't have a separate office space. And you could never NOT be working. And you had to take your work with you everywhere you went all the time. You might still want a break (and would be entitled to one without being made to feel guilty about taking it) from The Best Job Ever.
Everyone deserves a vacation... I would get pretty tired of my workplace, and I am pretty fond of it as it is. I swear, your job is so much harder than mine.
Thanks, PSP!
