When Pete was little and just learning to play hide-and-seek, Pete's parents, even though they knew where Pete was all the time (usually in the last place Pete had found someone), would say, "Where's Pete?" and "Where'd Pete go?" to make the game more interesting. But Pete didn't get it. From behind a chair or around a corner, Pete's little voice would chirp, "I'm over here!"
