Pete Says:

When Pete was very little, Pete couldn't say "flower." Pete would say "slower" (rhymes with flower) instead. But at the same time Pete couldn't say "throw." Pete would say "flow" instead ("I flowed up!"). How come Pete could say "fl" when Pete was trying to say "thr" but not when Pete was trying to say "fl"?

I guess you could have called it a "Thrower" (rhyming again, of course) and then wait to see what would happen... but I love little people language. I mean, LOVE it. Gooshy store.
