I really don't like junk mail or sales calls. Especially since they both invite fraud. I got an offer for a new credit card today, and when I called the number to opt out of prescreening (888-5-optout), they said I could also use the website (www.optoutprescreen.com), which I did just because I think it's easier.

Anyway, there you go. If you despise having your privacy probed as much as I do, now you know how to opt out of those pre-approved AmEx offers and more. Enjoy!

Also, don't forget about the do not call list (www.donotcall.gov)...
